Download the current Affinity app from its official site for Windows or macOS. It combines vector design, pixel editing and page layout; individuals can use it free. Optional Canva premium AI features are paid.
For a first project, create a document with the required dimensions. Choose vector tools for scalable shapes or pixel tools for photos. Keep objects on separate layers so changes stay manageable.
Save an editable .af project first, then export a copy to PNG, JPEG or PDF for its intended use. Reopen the export to check dimensions, text and colours. Do not assume the forthcoming iPad app is already available.
