Translation is processed on your device. Your text is not sent to a server and no history is saved. Language packs download through SimpleUtilityBox from Mozilla’s public Google Cloud Storage. Our hosting sees your IP address and chosen pack; Mozilla sees the proxy IP and pack request, but neither receives your text.

Choose the source language manually. Reliable automatic language detection is not included. Some languages are available in only one direction; unavailable choices are disabled.

Machine translation can make mistakes. Check important wording. Pairs without a direct model translate through English.

One pair is loaded at a time. Clear releases the engine memory. Lower-memory phones may struggle with larger packs; try short text first.
