Tips & Guides
Useful explanations, starting with getting more from the Word Unscrambler.
Start with the letters you actually have
A repeated letter needs a repeated tile. To make APPLE, you need two Ps. Letter order does not matter.
Use a wildcard for a missing tile
Use ? or * to stand for one letter. You can use up to two blank tiles. A blank can also represent an accented letter.
Make filters work for you
Use starts with, ends with or contains when you know part of a word. Set a length range to reduce the list. Exact anagram mode uses every tile.
Check your game’s rules
Our dictionaries are general spelling lists. A result is not a guarantee that a particular game accepts that word. English letter scores exclude board bonuses, and a blank tile contributes zero points.
